Did you know that cash, checks or credit cards are not the only ways that you can give? In the Old Testament of the Bible, the “tithe” was an established standard of giving among God’s people. It literally means “tenth.” This is often used as a practice for generosity.

It was God’s expectation and the practice of God’s people to give Him the first and best 10% of their income to God to acknowledge His provision, their trust in Him, and to eventually to provide for gathering place of worship, the Temple, and those who served there. In the New Testament, Jesus invites us to give generously, give together, and give cheerfully. While not commanded in the New Testament, giving our first and best continues to be essential; and 10% is a target to move toward and beyond as we grow in giving toward generosity.

An offering is a voluntary act of worship where we give money or gifts to support the church’s operations, ministries, and charitable missions.

It is distinct from a “tithe” (typically a set 10% of a person’s income) as it is given freely above and beyond this amount out of generosity.

Tithes or Offerings can be submitted in a number of ways:

  • In person at the church office or in the offering boxes on the two back tables in the Worship Center.
