Local Missions & Outreach

Because of the great love we have experienced in Christ, our mission is to share His love with others by being His hands & feet in our community. No matter your age or ability, there is a place for you to join us as we serve others to glorify Him!

Mobile Food Pantry

Lynn Haven Methodist is blessed to be able to provide a bi-monthly Mobile Food Pantry for anyone in need of food assistance. This drive through food distribution event takes place in the back of our church building located at: 3203 Minnesota Avenue, Panama City.

Event Info:

  • Food is purchased through (and delivered by) Feeding the Gulf Coast.
  • All food boxes are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Distribution will begin at or around 8 am & will continue until inventory is depleted.
  • One box of food per household. You do not need proof of address or income. All are welcome.
  • Guests should remain in their vehicles. Parking attendants will direct you to a spot in the parking lot across the street to await your turn to drive around & receive your box.

Please note: We do not operate a daily food pantry at the church. If you need additional food assistance, please contact one of the local food banks or dial 211 (UNITED WAY) to hear a list of local resources. If you are interested in serving (volunteering) at this event, please click the button below to sign up.

The Lynn Haven Methodist Foster Closet is a resource to help local families who take in a child on short notice. By quickly providing a few sets of clothing, essential hygiene products and spiritual encouragement, the Foster Closet aims to help meet the basic needs of children while also uplifting the adults who are caring for them.

The Foster Closet serves foster and adoptive families as well as relative caregivers and others who take in children who have been abused or neglected in some way.

Emily, a local adoptive mom, recently received items from the Foster Closet for a newborn baby her family took in on very short notice. Emily shared: “We were unprepared in every way. While we were out of town picking her up, the Foster Closet provided us with some essential items needed for her arrival. We are so grateful for the generosity given to us.”

The Foster Closet needs regular donations of NEW items, including clothing (all sizes), blankets, toothbrushes, backpacks, underwear and diapers. Donations can be dropped off at the church office (3203 Minnesota Avenue) or purchased and shipped via the Foster Closet Wish List on Amazon.

Our mission begins right here in our community as we invest locally through partnerships with ministries & organizations here in Bay County. Our main areas of focus locally are working with families & children in need of food assistance, assisting persons with disabilities, poverty alleviation & foster/adoptive family support.
