Easter is a time when Christians glorify and give thanks for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. After His crucifixion, death, and burial, Christ rose from the grave three days later. By this, He conquered death and redeemed us from sin. Praise be to God!
Each morning at 5 am, beginning Sunday March 24th, we will post a short video devotional on our YouTube and Facebook pages. Each video message will be focused on verses and commentary that tell us of what was happening with Jesus during Holy Week. Once they are posted, you can access the videos by clicking either of the links above.
Wednesday March 27th at 6 pm in the Community Room. The Seder is the traditional Passover meal that recounts the story of the Israelites exodus from enslavement in Egypt. We will follow along with a traditional Passover service’s order of worship and have samples of some of the foods that were eaten.
The Youth will participate in this service. Nursery care will be available for ages infant through pre-k. Elementary aged children will be able to join the regularly scheduled Awana group’s activities.
As Easter draws near, it is our desire to remain in steady prayer as we remember Jesus’ great love and sacrifice for each one of us.
You too can participate in this important ministry! Simply click the Sign up button to take a time slot. If you would like a prayer guide to help direct your thoughts during your time click the button to the left!
We will also be praying in person on Good Friday from 6 am to 6 pm in the Worship Center. Please stop in to join us as your schedule allows.
This service that presents the suffering and death of Jesus will begin at 7 pm in the Worship Center. It will feature Scripture readings from Matthew’s gospel and each lesson will be followed by a prayer, a song, and the extinguishing of a candle. As the story unfolds, the lights will be gradually dimmed to dramatize Christ’s suffering. After a final Scripture is read, the Christ candle will be removed and taken out of the worship center to symbolize the death and burial of the Light of the world. Worshipers leave in reverent silence to ponder the impact of Christ’s death and await the celebration of His Resurrection on Easter.
Nursery care will be available for ages infant through pre-k.
PRAYER TIME: After the service ends, Craig & Lee Carter will be leading a time of prayer in the Next Gen room. Everyone is encouraged to join as we pray for the upcoming Easter services & for all those who will be joining us this weekend.
