Local Missions & Outreach

Because of the great love we have experienced in Christ, our mission is to share His love with others by being His hands & feet in our community. No matter your age or ability, there is a place for you to join us as we serve others to glorify Him!

Mobile Food Pantry

Lynn Haven Methodist is blessed to be able to provide a bi-monthly Mobile Food Pantry for anyone in need of food assistance. This drive through food distribution event takes place in the back of our church building located at: 3203 Minnesota Avenue, Panama City.

Event Info:

  • Food is purchased through (and delivered by) Feeding the Gulf Coast.
  • All food boxes are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Distribution will begin at or around 8 am & will continue until inventory is depleted.
  • One box of food per household. You do not need proof of address or income. All are welcome.
  • Guests should remain in their vehicles. Parking attendants will direct you to a spot in the parking lot across the street to await your turn to drive around & receive your box.

Please note: We do not operate a daily food pantry at the church. If you need additional food assistance, please contact one of the local food banks or dial 211 (UNITED WAY) to hear a list of local resources. If you are interested in serving (volunteering) at this event, please click the button below to sign up.

Hardly Able Wheelchair Ramps

In 1997, God planted a vision in a Lynn Haven Methodist member’s heart and mind to build ramps for elderly and disabled residents. The Hardly Able ministry Tom Gildersleeve started more than two decades ago is still going strong.

Hardly Able Needs You! The Hardly Able team builds ramps in the name of Jesus for home-bound residents and seniors. If you like working with tools or would enjoy learning, this dedicated group of servants would love to have your help on upcoming projects. If interested in serving, please email Harvey Lovelace at lovelaceharvey123@gmail.com. Older children (with a parent or guardian) and students can help, too!

Need a ramp? If you (or someone you know located in Bay County, FL) are in need of a ramp, please email Harvey Lovelace or call the church office at (850) 265-5231 to be added to the list.

Our mission begins right here in our community as we invest locally through partnerships with ministries & organizations here in Bay County. Our main areas of focus locally are working with families & children in need of food assistance, assisting persons with disabilities, poverty alleviation & foster/adoptive family support.
