Worship Minister
The Opportunity
Lynn Haven Methodist Church is prayerfully seeking a Worship Minister to help guide our congregation into a deeper, Christ-centered life of worship. This calling is for a relational leader and gifted worship minister who values both contemporary worship and traditional hymns.
We believe worship is more than music, it is the offering of our whole lives to God. In this season of growth and renewal, our church is becoming increasingly open, responsive, and expectant in worship. We sense the Spirit inviting us into something deeper, and we are looking for a leader who can help us faithfully respond.
The Worship Minister will cultivate environments where people encounter the presence of God, grow as disciples, and actively participate in the life of the Church. This leader will invest in people: building teams, developing volunteers, and nurturing gifts within the body all while shaping gatherings that are authentic, engaging, and spiritually formative.

Lynn Haven Methodist Church
Lynn Haven Methodist Church is a Spirit-led congregation within the Global Methodist Church, gathering approximately 475 people each week across both a contemporary and a traditional service. We are a church committed to faithful preaching, authentic community, and worship that forms disciples.
Our staff culture is marked by humility, joy, and collaboration. We seek to serve one another as we serve the Lord, fostering an environment where encouragement, honesty, and our shared mission, “To love God and love others”, shapes our daily work. With nine full-time staff members, the church is healthy, stable, and stepping into a new season of growth including the expansion of our facilities to support a thriving children’s ministry, expected to open in late summer 2026.
As a congregation, we are moving from passive observation to active participation in worship. We long to be a people who not only attend worship, but who offer ourselves fully to God in praise, prayer, and obedience. The next Worship Minister will play a vital role in nurturing this culture by raising up leaders, inviting new voices, and building a worship ministry that reflects the heart and diversity of our church family.

Position Profile
Summary
The Worship Minister supports the vision of Lynn Haven Methodist (LHM) by creating corporate worship experiences designed to grow disciples that live worshipful lives. This includes planning, equipping, organizing, executing, and evaluating a comprehensive music program in preparing groups, soloists, and choirs for internal and external music ministry.
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Salary Range: $70-75,000/yr + benefits
Responsibilities
Coordinate with the pastors and staff to create well-planned and prayerful worship services.
Collaborate with other members of the church staff to ensure worship needs are met across all of the church’s ministry endeavors. (Including but not limited to: mentoring & developing a youth band and partnering with children’s ministry, and senior adult ministry for special events.)
Supervise all work of the worship ministry staff and servants.
Recruit, identify, invite, train, mentor and empower others to become part of the worship, technical and creative teams.
Develop and grow a variety of worship styles and musicians for all services.
Lead rehearsals & determine the most suitable music selections for each service.
Ensure audio/video/lighting technical systems are configured and performing as required to support the church’s worship experience.
Develop annual budget for position’s areas of responsibility and oversee the execution of the budget throughout the year (e.g. equipment, maintenance, materials, etc).
Intentionally develop strong relationships across ministry staff embodying Christian community and ensuring team synergy.
Perform other duties as requested.
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in music preferred.
Theological education (e.g. Bible College, Seminary, Course of Study) preferred.
Desired Skills
Discipler of Christians.
Recruiter and developer of volunteers and other staff (e.g. instrument, a/v, etc.).
A strong foundation in music.
A broad knowledge of various worship music genres, including contemporary Christian and hymns.
Excellence in leading worship in a church setting.
Ability to use ministry gifts for God’s glory and others’ gain.

Models the mission of Lynn Haven Methodist.
Possess a testimony of a personal faith in Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him.
Models a humble spirit and commitment to work in a cohesive manner with pastoral staff, co-workers, church members and guests.
