Empowered to Connect teaches Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)® methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross at Texas Christian University. TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention system that uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors.

Whether you’re a foster or adoptive parent, teacher, faculty, counselor, caregiver or anyone in need of resources to help with children who have been abused, neglected or suffered trauma, Empowered to Connect will be a great resource for you. The training is available free with registration, to be completed online at your own pace by May 31, 2020.
