The End of the Beginning
The End of the Beginning
Jesus: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 NLT
When we arrived in Rome, Paul was permitted to have his own private lodging, though he was guarded by a soldier…For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.
Acts 28:16, 30-31 NLT
This is the end of the beginning…
1) For us as a _________________________________________________.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the [Lynn Haven Methodist] church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21 NLT
2) For each of us as a _________________________________________.
I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead…[so] I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Philippians 3:10, 13b-14 NLT
